Platt College located in Aurora, Colorado, is nestled eight miles west of Denver. Aurora is a community founded in 1891 near the Rocky Mountains. With 300 days of sunshine every year over a beautiful array of the Rocky Mountains, award-winning restaurants, art, world-class museums and a large number of major health care systems, the Platt College area blends urban sophistication with outdoor adventure.

Platt College is approved and regulated by The Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS).

The College’s School of Nursing and School of Design Bachelor degree programs are recognized by the Colorado Commission of Higher Education (CCHE). The School of Nursing is approved by the Colorado State Board of Nursing (BSN program).

Our academic programs at Platt College seek to integrate knowledge, not simply convey or explain it. Our concern for the student extends beyond their academic preparation and includes their formation as ethical citizens, with responsibility for their own well-being and those of their neighbor. The hard work and preparation that our students demonstrate comes from an extension of our faculty and staff.

Platt College’s integrated curriculum helps students embrace history, literature, writing, critical thinking, communications, philosophy, mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences. The foundational education, offering both breadth and depth of learning, is intended to develop the abilities necessary to excel in design and professional nursing careers or paths in higher education. Our curriculum prepares our students to live an intelligent, meaningful, and contributive life while embracing community and diversity.
