When should I complete the admissions application?

You should apply as soon as possible before the quarter you plan to start. Applying early will give you time to complete testing (if applicable for the program), send ACT scores (if needed), submit high school transcript or GED scores, and request college transcripts (if applicable). Applying early also gives the admissions staff plenty of time to contact you for additional information.

What degrees and programs does Platt College offer?

The School of Nursing at Platt College offers a Bachelor of Science degree. The School of Design at Platt College offers both Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.

How do I begin the application process?

To begin the application process, contact our Office of Admissions to sign up for an information session.

I have applied to the college. What is the next step for admissions?

If you will be entering based on prior college credit, you need to submit an official copy of your college transcript (see Policy 02:14:00 Transfer Credit). You must also submit a high school transcript or GED scores and official transcripts from any college/university that you previously attended.

When are classes offered?

Depending on the program that you enroll, classes typically meet once a week, Monday through Friday. Classes begin at 8:00 AM and end around 6:00 PM. For information about class schedules, contact an admissions coordinator at 303-369-5151. Clinical experiences for the School of Nursing do meet on Saturdays and Sundays in addition to the week.

Is Platt College on the quarter or semester system?

Platt College is on a quarter system. Each quarter is eleven weeks, with one week off in between quarters. Students are admitted four times a year.

I was a former Platt College student, do I have to complete a new application?

Former Platt College students must complete a new updated admission application when they have not attended Platt College for more than one year.

What is FERPA?

FERPA gives certain rights to parents regarding their children’s educational records; however, rights transfer to the student upon reaching 18 years of age OR student is attending any school beyond the secondary level.
