• Academic Search Elite (EBSCO)  contains full text for more than 2,100 journals, including more than 1,700 peer-reviewed titles. This multi-disciplinary database covers virtually every area of academic study. 

• Bowker’s Books in Print Information on books and audio and video materials searchable by availability, author, title, keyword, publisher, language, awards won, series title, and sources where reviewed.

• Business and Company Resource Center (Infotrac Gale)  is a fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Predicast's PROMT and Newsletter databases are fully integrated in this database.

• Business Source Elite (EBSCO)  provides information for 1,000 full text business publications. More than 10,100 substantial company profiles from Datamonitor are also included. 

• CINAHL Plus with Full Text (EBSCO)  is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 750 journals indexed in CINAHL.

• Credo Reference Credo Reference is an online general reference solution that has  full-text content that covers every major subject from the world's best publishers of reference. Also has a Concept Map which enables you to quickly find information when you don't know exactly what to look for or want to expand your knowledge of a given area. 

• Expanded Academic ASAP (Infotrac Gale) From arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology, this database meets research needs across all academic disciplines. Access scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers - many with full text and images! 

• Gale Virtual Reference Library (Infotrac Gale)  is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7.

• Literature Resource Center (Infotrac Gale) http://www.lirn.net/services.shtml Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Combining Gale Group's core literary databases in a single online service, the Literature Resource Center covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors. 

• MasterFILE Elite (EBSCO)  this multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 1,050 general reference publications.

• Micromedex  - The wide range of evidence based information you expect from Micromedex is now part of Thomson Healthcare Evidence. This includes all the unbiased, referenced information about drugs, toxicology, diseases, acute care, and alternative medicine you have come to expect. Includes CareNotes™ System which provides your patients with complete, easy-to-understand information about all aspects of their care, medications, and health, in English or Spanish. ****Because the online subscription offered through the Micromedex Academic Program is intended specifically for students enrolled in healthcare-related curriculums and faculty/instructors that teach those curriculums, access must be restricted to those users. Students and faculty are encouraged to download the summarized content to their PDA for use while in hospitals or other clinical/patient care settings. However, for access via desktop or laptop/notebook computer while in a patient care facility, they must utilize the facility's subscription—they are not to access via the user name and password provided for the academic subscription or share the access information with others.****

• Photospin High resolution image database which also has fonts, illustration, video and audio.  See your instructor for userid and password.  ***restricted to 4 users at a time****. 

• ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source (Proquest)  Nursing, Allied Health: Journals, Magazines, Dissertations, Systematic Reviews, Evidence Summaries, and Best Practice Information Sheets from the renowned Joanna Briggs Institute. Skills videos from Medcom Video Training Programs Collection. Culturevision's Cultural Competency Briefs: Religion, Ethnicity and Care.

• ProQuest Psychology Journals (Proquest)  Psychology: Journals, Magazines with complete full-text coverage from top psychology and related publications, this database meets the needs of both students and mental-health professionals.

• Pubmed Linkout  Pubmed is a government bibliographic database containing citations and abstracts from approximately 5,200 biomedical journals published in the United States and in other countries. Full text articles can also be found within pubmed at pubmed central.****This is a custom url for Platt College. After searching, go to the tab that is labeled Platt college and it will link you to the articles that are in the EBSCO database.****NOTE: Make sure and set PubMed as a bookmark after accessing via the custom URL. When accessing Pubmed go through your bookmark page. Also make sure that your computer accepts cookies and Java Script. Both of those are needed in order to remember your settings. 

• Regional Business News (EBSCO)  incorporates coverage of more than 80 regional business publications covering all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. 

• TOPICsearch (EBSCO)  contains full text for over 60,000 articles from 399 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, EBSCO's unparalleled collection of periodicals, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information.
