The many inspiring stories of Platt College students, alumni, and employees illustrate how the strong educational foundation the College provides opens the doors of opportunity in a virtually unlimited number of personal, professional and social arenas.  Quarterly, Platt College highlights one employee that exemplifies the college mission of "offering quality undergraduate education" while providing "graduates with competencies, skills and levels of education for employment and continued success in higher education."  This quarter, Platt College spotlights Dr. Glenn Raup, Dean from the School of Nursing. 

Dr. Raup holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado, a Master’s of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Healthcare Administration and Leadership from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Medical/Surgical Nursing. 

Dr. Raup’s former experience as an emergency trauma nurse led him to serve as the Senior Executive Director ED/Trauma/IPA/Corrections/Urgent Care Center Services in Texas before continuing his career in nursing education.  Prior to coming to Platt College, Dr. Raup served as an Assistant Professor in a  Doctor of Nursing Program – Administrative Track in Texas.
