What was the most interesting class you took in college and why?
Political Economics of the Middle East was one of the most interesting classes I took in college. The readings and discussions in class were fascinating as the Middle East is filled with a vast variety of cultures and history, but it was our instructor who made the difference. Dr. Welbourne was passionate about the subject and taught us how to stay curious.
When potential applicants ask you why Platt College is the place to earn a BSN, what do you tell them?
There are many reasons why Platt College is a great place for students to earn a BSN. However, I think the number one reason Platt College stands out is that the students, faculty and staff are all part of one Platt community. We are all invested in making sure each student succeeds.
Why do you work in financial aid at Platt College?
I enjoy working in financial aid at Platt College because I take pleasure in helping students achieve their dream of becoming a nurse.
What is one piece of advice you would give to students?
A four year nursing program completed in three calendar years is not for the faint of heart. It takes commitment, accountability, focus and lots of hard work to reach graduation. That being said, it takes a village of instructors, staff, family and friends to make one nurse. Never hesitate to ask for help!
