Consumer Information Disclosures

According to the Student Right-to-Know Act (P.L. 101-542) of 1990, colleges and universities that administer federal Title IV funds must disclose certain information to prospective and enrolled students, parents and employees. Required student consumer information is already on our website, this page is meant to create a simple way to access all of the required information one one page.  Platt College outlines the requirements for consumer information related to specific institutional information, graduation rates, and annual security reports in accordance wtih 668.41 and 668.47 from the Department of Education.

New Regulations Required for Disclosure July 1, 2020

CFR 600.2 State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement: Platt College students attend 75% of the curriculum on campus and are classified as students in Colorado.  

CFR 600.9(c)(1)(i) Student Location and Determination of Student Location: Platt College tracks applicants' addresses while in the application process.  If the applicant becomes a student, the student's new Colorado address is tracked and updated. 

CFR 600.9(c)(1)(ii) Alternative Distance Education Coverage: Platt College does not offer distance education to students outside of the state of Colorado.

CFR 600.9(c)(2)(ii) (iii) Determining State Residence: Platt College determines state residence by onground attendance and through address verification by the start of a student's first quarter. 

CFR 668.43(a)(5)(v) Disclosure of Program Meeting Licensure Requirements: Platt College's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree prepares the student to sit for professional licensure through examination.  Students who complete the BSN program at Platt College are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), a national exam that can be taken in any state, regardless of where the graduate completes the degree or regardless of where the graduate wants to practice, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). 

CFR 668.43(a)(11): Transfer Credit: Platt College's Transfer Credit Policy 02:24:00 clearly outlines what credit is accepted and how applicable transfer credit is accepted.

CFR 668.43(a)(12): Third Party Educational Services: Platt College does not use a third-party educational service. 

CFR  668.43(a)(13-20): Additional Disclosures: Platt College reports on its Outcomes webpage that include: the percentage of the institution's enrolled students disaggregated by gender, race, ethnicity, and those who are Pell Grant recipients; placement in employment of, and types of employment obtained by, graduates of the nursing program; the types of graduate and professional education in which graduates of the institution's four-year degree programs enrolled; the fire safety report prepared by the institution; the retention rate of degree-seeking, first-time, full-time, undergraduate students; institutional policies regarding vaccinations; in instances where the institution’s accreditor imposes a requirement to maintain a teach out plan, notice of that fact and the reasons the requirement was imposed; and in instances where state or federal enforcement action or prosecution is brought against the institution that could result in accrediting agency adverse action against the institution, revocation of state authorization, or Title IV eligibility limitation, suspension, or termination, notice of that fact.
