Outcomes

Graduation Rate

Based on the time period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023: 60 individuals graduated with 37 graduating on time at the end of 12 quarters for an on time completion rate of 62%. (37 out of 60 completed in 12 quarters).   23 other individuals graduated after the 12 quarter measurement.  The totals for the remaining 23 are as follows: 14 completed the program in 13 quarters, 6 completed the program in 14 quarters, 3 completed the program in 15 quarters, 0 completed the program in 16 quarters, and 0 completed the program in 17 quarters.

The Graduation Rate is based on the time period of students who began the nursing program during January 2018-September 2018, as required by the College's institutional accreditor's (ACCSC) annual report: the graduation rate is73%. The graduation rate is based on 85 individuals with 62 individuals completing the program. For this time period, there were 23 withdraws/terminations. This is updated in October of each year.

Transfer-Out-Rate is based on the percentage of full-time, first-time students who transferred to another institution from Platt College.  For Fall 2021-2022, 7 students out of 229 were categorized as full-time, first-time students.  Zero students transferred to another institution.

Employment Rate

Based on the time period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023: 60 individuals graduated and 38 of those individuals are employed, for an employment rate of 63.3% as of July 1, 2023.  Note: 19 graduates are unknown, with 3 individuals who are currently not employed as a professional nurse. 

The 2023 Graduation and Placement Rates are based on the time period of students who began the nursing program during January 2018-September 2018, as required by the College's institutional accreditor's (ACCSC) annual report: the employment rate is 84%.  The placement rate is based on 61 individuals with 51 individuals employed as a registered nurse. Nine graduates are unknown in the employment category, and one graduate is unavailable for employment. This is updated in October of each year.

The year to date (01/01/23 through 12/31/23) NCLEX-RN Pass Rate for Platt College as reported by the Colorado Board of Nursing is 90.77% based on 59/65 test takers passing on the first attempt.  The last reported date was updated on 02/14/24.
