Michael Vigil

Director of Financial Aid

Michael Vigil has been the Director of Financial Aid at Platt College since 2019 and has over 22 years of financial services experience.  As the Director of Financial Aid, he is responsible for the implementation of the College’s financial aid by maintaining compliance with Federal Title IV Financial Aid regulations and management of the Veterans Program Compliance.  Michael is also the Title IX Coordinator for Platt College where he is responsible for coordinating the College’s compliance with Title IX and other related discrimination laws.  Michael has served as a Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Financial Aid Administrators and is a member of the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators. Michael has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. 

Brad Hettich, Financial Aid Officer, joined Platt college in 2018.  Brad has 25+ years of experience in financial aid and has held various positions at five different Colleges before coming to Platt. He started his working career at OWU as a work study student in the financial aid office. He loved it and has stayed in that career field his entire life. Brad has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. 

Brad and his wife Sue, have three grown children and one grandson.  He enjoys reading and yard work.  He is active in his local church.  Brad enjoys people and especially likes helping students finance their education.

Geoff Craver

Accountant II

Geoff Craver serves as Accountant II at Platt College. He is a sixth generation Coloradan and loves that state as much as his family's previous generations. He holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Regis University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Fort Lewis College and is a notary public for Colorado. He started working at the College in 2018. Prior to coming to Platt College, Geoff served as a tax accountant.

Shirley Porter serves as the College Administrative Assistant and works directly with the College President. Prior to coming to Platt College, Shirley served as an office manager and owner of a wedding photography business for more than 25 years. She has 10 years of service as an employee of Platt College and enjoys greeting students everyday. Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Shirley has made her home in Colorado for nearly the past 40 years. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys spending time with her grandsons.
