How to Complete Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note
Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Notes are required in order to borrow federal student loans. If your parent is borrowing a Parent PLUS Loan, they will be required to complete only a Master Promissory Note. In order to complete these, you will need your FSA ID – the same email/username and password you used to sign the FAFSA. Entrance Counseling will walk you through all the details of your federal student loans including budgeting and repayment. Your Master Promissory Note covers all the Terms & Conditions of borrowing federal student loans and is your promise to repay those loans.
