Information Collected on Graduates

Outcomes assessment is the process of collecting evidence that indicates the extent to which our nursing program achieves its intentions. Assessment uses a feedback loop that involves identifying desired results; collecting and analyzing relevant information (data); and then using the findings to make changes to the program if deemed necessary.  At Platt College, we collect what we call outcome indices from both graduates and employers.  These indices include NCLEX pass rates, graduate program satisfaction, employment verification, and employer satisfaction.  The information you (or your employer) provides is used (a) to evaluate effectiveness and alignment of the nursing program curricula, (b) to improve the nursing program and its standing, (c) to inform planning and decision making, (d) understand the impact of program changes, (e) to highlight nursing program successes, (f) to provide evidence of need when requesting resources, (g) to provide data to accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies to demonstrate program effectiveness, and (h) to advise students with a valid and continuously evolving set of criteria for success in employment.

The following chart outlines the information and estimated time factor in which the graduate and/or employer will be asked to provide information.  To provide the most current information click here or if you have questions regarding any information you are being asked to provide, please contact Darla Dolph, Academic Support and Career Services Coordinator.  Please note: while the information provided regarding you (either from you or your employer) is used to statistical reasons.  Your information is protected and will be used for reporting purposes and institutional review only.
