A Message from the Vice President of Academic Affairs...

In my daily operations at Platt College, I am reminded of a quote from Benjamin Franklin in which he stated, “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.”

Platt College is committed to student success-it’s that simple. Driven by our mission to provide “quality undergraduate education” while providing “graduates with competencies, skills, and levels of education for employment and continued success in higher education,” Platt College is not only an eminent place to attend but a notable place to be employed as well.

This is one of the most exciting times in Platt College’s rich 30 year history. As the Chief Academic Officer for the College, I partner with faculty, program deans, and Platt personnel to ensure that the institutional mission remains dynamic and relevant in the day-to-day experiences of our students. I am proud to work with faculty and staff that exemplify dedication, and many of them, like our College President have made their service to Platt College a life-long calling.

At Platt, we espouse a high standard of achievement and hard work to which all are held accountable. Our graduates can attest to the culture of excellence that persists at Platt. From the quality of our teaching and evidence-based practice to our tireless resolve to ensure every student has the resources and opportunity to succeed, at Platt we have no fear of high expectations. High expectations define The Platt Difference.

I invite you to peruse our website to see the excellence that we have to offer, whether you are contemplating your college career or considering continuing your higher education. I am thrilled to be part of the Platt College community that is talented, dedicated, and caring. I know you will be, too. Anatole France, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 1921 once said, “To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” Guided by our Strategic Plan, we have accomplished; we have acted; we continue to dream and plan; and we most definitely believe anything is possible!
