A. Scope

This Code of Business Conduct and Ethics applies to all Platt College directors, officers and employees. Such directors, officers and em­ployees are referred to herein collectively as the "Covered Parties." Platt College is referred to herein collectively as the "Company."

B. Purpose

Purpose: To mitigate exposure of Platt College to security risks and liabilities associated with the irresponsible use of file sharing peer-to-peer (P2P) applications on College resources.

Purpose: To identify requirements for the use of electronic signatures, electronic transactions, and electronic records in conducting the College's business operations.

Purpose: To provide information regarding the recording, capture, and distribution of recorded classes and/or workshops created by the College.

Purpose: To ensure the proper use of Platt College’s email system, and make users aware of what Platt College deems as acceptable and unacceptable use of its email system.

Purpose: To establish registered contact information as the official form of communication from the College to students, faculty, and staff and to outline the responsibilities of students, faculty, and staff for checking and responding to information detailed in these communications.
